Dr Madeline Auge

Madeline Auge, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who enjoys working with children of all ages, especially adolescents and young adults. Dr. Auge specializes in psychological evaluations with school-aged children including the evidence-based assessments of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders. She has experience evaluating for autism in children 15 months of age through adulthood and is clinically trained to administer the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2). Her assessment experience has also included training and work in a range of settings including hospitals, universities, specialized treatment and evaluation centers, and school districts. 

 

Dr. Auge earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in School Psychology and Master of Science degree in Applied Educational Psychology through the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She completed an American Psychological Association accredited internship in clinical pediatric psychology with the Marcus Autism Center in Atlanta. While on internship, her work centered on providing applied behavior analysis (ABA) based intervention services in an intensive outpatient severe behavior program and in the language and learning clinic.

 

She then completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt Kennedy Center’s Treatment and Research Institute for Autism Spectrum Disorders (TRIAD) in Nashville, Tennessee.  While at TRIAD, Dr. Auge worked with community outreach programs, developed materials for families and professionals, coached parents and teachers on challenging behaviors, and conducted autism assessments in research and clinical settings. Dr. Auge also completed the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) Program in 2022.

 

Dr. Auge has a passion for promoting neurodiversity and focusing on one’s strengths to help support their quality of life in the school, home, and community settings. She enjoys helping families connect with resources that are unique to their needs and continually finds ways to provide support to the clients she serves. In her free time, Dr. Auge enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family, and traveling.
